Birmingham City FC 1963 League Cup Winners
The 1963 Football League Cup Final was to be the third to be staged since
the competition's inception, it was contested between local rivals Birmingham City and Aston Villa over two legs. Birmingham
City were hoping to win their first major trophy. The Blues won the first leg 3–1, the second leg at Villa
Park was a 0-0 draw so Blues won on aggregate.

have a signed 10in x 7in photo of the Birmingham City squad that won the League Cup in 1963.
The final was played over two
legs at the local rivals home grounds, in the first leg at St Andrews Birmingham City won 3-1.
In the second leg at Villa Park the
game finished 0-0 meaning the Blues won the trophy at their greatest rivals ground.
The photo has been signed by Birmingham City legends Bertie Auld,
Gil Merrick and Terry Hennessey during private signing sessions held by Midlands Memorabilia and the Birmingham City
Former Players Association.
