Aston Villa Print 1919-20
For sale we have a extremely rare and old piece of Aston Villa FC memorabilia from the 1919-20 season, the framed picture features the Aston Villa players and officials with the FA Cup
and it is in its original mount and frame that is in very good condition for its age.
Some of the names and faces will be familiar to people with a knowledge
of Aston Villa history like Billy Walker, Frederick Rinder and even A Young.
The print used to hang in the old offices in the North Stand before it was redeveloped in the seventies and
to the best of our knowledge was owned by the club since 1920.
Terry Weir the former Aston Villa official photographer who sadly passed away in 2005 was in possession of
it for a few years before giving it to a close friend.
To the best of our knowledge the print is a complete one off, if anybody has any further information that they
could
provide on this wonderful piece we would appreciate it.
We are pleased to announce that after talking
to Aston Villa historian John Lerwill , Midlands Memorabilia have
agreed to display the print at Villa Park for the foreseeable future so it can return to
its natural home.
For this reason we are withdrawing
it from sale

The Murder Of Tommy Ball

For sale we have a paperback copy of the book The Murder Of Tommy Ball by author Paul Lester, the
book tells the story of when tragedy struck in Perry Barr on the night of 11 November 1923, one of Aston Villa's
most promising young footballers Thomas Edgar Ball was murdered. This tragedy earned Ball the unfortunate distinction of being
the only English Football League player ever to be murdered.
The book is in very good condition with a slight mark
where there was previously a price sticker.

For sale we have the Official Handbook of Aston Villa F.C. Players 1946-47, the book
is a paper back copy in excellent condition
The contents of the book is a fascinating read for a Villa
fan, the start of the book tells how this is the first publication of a Official Handbook since the end of the Second World
War.
There is a history of the club (author even apologises for not being able to give the full history due to
there still being a shortage of paper in the country!), some fascinating adverts from the time, map of the Aston area, fixture
list, Manager and player profiles include - Alec Massie (Manager), George Cummings, Ernie Callaghan B.E.M.*, Eric Houghton,
George Edwards, Leslie Smith, Richard Dorsett, Bob Iverson, Vic Potts, Joe Rutherford, Harry Parkes, Eddie Lowe, Ronnie Starling,
